SYBER-20 Injection
SYBER-20 is an intravenous Rabeprazole Sodium (20 mg) injection designed for rapid acid suppression. It is highly effective for treating severe GERD, peptic ulcers, and hypersecretory conditions when oral medication is not an option.
Description
Rabeprazole Sodium Injection IP 20 mg
SYBER-20 is a specialized Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) administered via injection for the rapid relief and treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders. It is primarily used when oral administration is not feasible, providing fast-acting suppression of gastric acid secretion.
Key Therapeutic Uses
-
Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Rapid relief from severe acid reflux and heartburn.
-
Peptic & Duodenal Ulcers: Promotes faster healing of ulcers by maintaining a controlled pH environment in the stomach.
-
Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Effective management of pathological hypersecretory conditions.
-
Aspiration Prophylaxis: Used pre-operatively to reduce the risk of acid aspiration during surgery.
-
Stress Ulcer Prevention: Commonly used in critical care settings to prevent stress-induced mucosal damage.
Mechanism of Action
SYBER-20 contains Rabeprazole Sodium (20 mg), which works by inhibiting the $H^+/K^+$-ATPase enzyme system (the “proton pump”) at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. By blocking the final step of acid production, it significantly reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach.
