Description
GLOTRAX 1500 Injection is a broad-spectrum antibiotic combination formulated to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections, including those caused by beta-lactamase producing organisms. The addition of Sulbactam enhances the antibacterial spectrum of Ceftriaxone.
Mechanism of Action
- Ceftriaxone: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial death
- Sulbactam: Acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, protecting Ceftriaxone from degradation and expanding its activity
