Description
Rebeglo-20 Injection contains Rabeprazole 20 mg, a fast-acting proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for effective control of gastric acid secretion in acute care settings. It is ideal when oral administration is not feasible.
Composition
- Rabeprazole Sodium equivalent to Rabeprazole – 20 mg
- Lyophilized sterile powder for reconstitution (IV use only)
Mechanism of Action
Rabeprazole works by irreversibly inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme (gastric proton pump) in parietal cells, thereby blocking the final step of acid production and ensuring sustained acid suppression.
Indications
Rebeglo-20 is indicated for:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
- Peptic ulcer disease (gastric & duodenal ulcers)
- Erosive esophagitis
- Zollinger–Ellison syndrome
- Stress ulcer prophylaxis in critically ill patients
- Upper gastrointestinal bleeding
Dosage & Administration
- Administered via intravenous injection or infusion
- Typical dose: 20 mg once daily or as prescribed
- Switch to oral therapy when clinically appropriate

Precautions
