Description

Sytrax 1500 Injection is a broad-spectrum antibacterial combination of Ceftriaxone (a third-generation cephalosporin) and Sulbactam (a β-lactamase inhibitor). This synergistic formulation enhances antibacterial efficacy by overcoming resistance caused by β-lactamase–producing organisms.


Composition (Typical)

  • Ceftriaxone Sodium IP – 1000 mg
  • Sulbactam Sodium IP – 500 mg
  • Total: 1500 mg

Mechanism of Action

  • Ceftriaxone: Inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis leading to cell lysis
  • Sulbactam: Inhibits β-lactamase enzymes, protecting Ceftriaxone from degradation and extending its antibacterial spectrum

Dosage & Administration
