Ceftomas TZ (Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam for Injection)
Ceftomas TZ is a potent combination antibiotic injection containing Ceftriaxone (1000mg) and Tazobactam (125mg). It is designed to treat a wide range of severe bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and surgical prophylaxis, especially when resistance to standard antibiotics is suspected.
Description
Ceftomas TZ combines a third-generation cephalosporin (Ceftriaxone) with a beta-lactamase inhibitor (Tazobactam). This combination is highly effective against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria that would otherwise be resistant to Ceftriaxone alone.
Key Features:
-
Dual Action Formula: Ceftriaxone kills bacteria by inhibiting cell wall synthesis, while Tazobactam prevents bacteria from breaking down the antibiotic.
-
Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
-
Common Applications: Used in the treatment of pneumonia, meningitis, abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and bone/joint infections.
-
Quality Standard: Manufactured to meet high clinical safety and efficacy standards for parenteral administration.
Usage Instructions:
-
Administration: For Intramuscular (IM) or Intravenous (IV) use only.
-
Reconstitution: Must be dissolved with the provided Sterile Water for Injection before administration.
-
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and dark place. Keep the reconstituted solution as directed by clinical guidelines.
