Rabeprazole for Injection (Syber 20)
Description
Syber 20 Injection contains Rabeprazole 20 mg, a potent proton pump inhibitor (PPI) designed for intravenous administration. It provides rapid and sustained suppression of gastric acid, making it ideal for acute and hospital-based care.
Composition
- Rabeprazole Sodium equivalent to Rabeprazole – 20 mg
- Lyophilized sterile powder for reconstitution
- For IV use only
Mechanism of Action
Rabeprazole works by irreversibly inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme (gastric proton pump) in parietal cells, thereby blocking the final step of acid secretion and promoting healing of acid-related conditions.
Indications
Syber 20 is indicated for:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
- Peptic ulcer disease (gastric & duodenal ulcers)
- Erosive esophagitis
- Zollinger–Ellison syndrome
- Stress ulcer prophylaxis in critically ill patients
- Upper gastrointestinal bleeding
Dosage & Administration
- Administered via intravenous injection or infusion
- Typical adult dose: 20 mg once daily, or as directed
- Switch to oral therapy when clinically appropriate

Precautions
