Description

Ceepido-50 Dry Syrup is an advanced antibacterial suspension specifically formulated for the pediatric population. As a third-generation cephalosporin, Cefpodoxime provides superior efficacy against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria while maintaining an excellent safety profile for infants and children.

Key Therapeutic Benefits:

  • Broad-Spectrum Action: Effectively treats a variety of pediatric conditions, including Acute Otitis Media, Pharyngitis, Tonsillitis, and Community-Acquired Pneumonia.

  • Superior to Conventional Antibiotics: Offers better resistance against bacterial enzymes (beta-lactamases) compared to older generation penicillins or cephalosporins.

  • High Bioavailability: Ensures that the medicine is absorbed quickly into the bloodstream to start fighting the infection immediately.

  • Kid-Friendly Formulation: Designed as a dry syrup for maximum stability, which, when reconstituted, offers a pleasant taste to ensure better compliance from young patients.

  • Targeted Recovery: Specifically effective in clearing stubborn skin and soft tissue infections and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in children.

Core Composition:

  • Cefpodoxime Proxetil IP: Equivalent to 50 mg of Cefpodoxime per 5 ml when reconstituted.

  • Form: Dry Syrup (to be reconstituted with sterile water provided).

Usage & Reconstitution Instructions

  • Reconstitution: Shake the bottle to loosen the powder. Add sterile water (provided with the pack) up to the mark on the bottle. Shake vigorously. Adjust the volume to the mark if necessary.

  • Dosage: As directed by the pediatrician. Usually based on the child’s body weight.

  • Storage: Before reconstitution, store in a cool, dry place. After reconstitution, store the suspension in a refrigerator and use within 7–10 days.

  • Caution: Complete the full course of the antibiotic as prescribed by the doctor, even if the child feels better, to prevent bacterial resistance.
